Hi Everyone. I am currently starting my second year as a Grad Student. I must confess, as old as I am I still feel like this every semester:

Pit-bull Saves Two Lives
For all the new readers out there who don't know me personally, I am a huge advocate for Pit-bulls. I love ALOT ALOT ALOT! They are my favorite breed of dog because they are so loyal, so cute, friendly, energetic and yet so cuddly at the same time.
The problem with pit-bulls is that mainstream media has been giving them a bad reputation for years. Because there have been a number of pit-bull attacks on people as well as their being used for dog fighting, the media has put the two together and decided that these dogs are born with the intention to kill people and fight.
This breed of dog is like any other dog. You can either teach it to be nice or you can teach it to be aggressive.
With these attacks that have been happening in the past, the commonality with all of them is that they had bad owners. Some of them were neglected by their owners by being chained up outside, poorly fed, or trained to fight other dogs out of their will.
Unfortunately because of this, most apartment complexes in my area and im sure many others around the country will not allow tenants to own pit-bulls in their building. To make matters worse certain home insurance companies will drop you or if they feel like being nice, will raise your home insurance significantly for owning one.
Back to media involvement: Anytime there is a dog attack the dogs breed is only mentioned once. For example, the first person to ever have a partial face transplant did so because she was mauled by her Lab. Unless you Wikipedia her name "Isabelle Dinoire" Most articles will not mention her dogs breed.
However if look up articles about pit-bull attacks, you will find that the titles of each article look like this "Pit-bull attacks child" "Baltimore woman Mauled by Pit-bull" "Dog dies from pit-bull attack."
Isabelle Dinoire's story was about having a face transplant because she happened to be attacked by a dog, in which most titles will say "first woman to have partial face transplant."
All the other articles containing pit-bull attacks sometimes don't contain the names of the victims and when they do, they are mentioned once in the beginning of the article where it can be easily forgotten over words like mauled, vicious, dangerous, aggressive, or killer.
It seems like the media decides whats considered dangerous and whats not.
I could go on and on forever and if you would like me to, I will. However, the main point im trying to make is that im going to change the mold for a second hear and share a story about a pit-bull who saved two lives. The link will be at the bottom, tell me what you think.

Antoine Dodson, 14:59 and counting
A few months ago a news report about an intruder entering his apartment and assaulting his sister.
The news report went viral. Why? Well you take a look to refresh your memory:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vZKXAFqdlC4&feature=related
teeheeheeheehee so funny... Anyway not too long after the video got around, this happened:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hMtZfW2z9dw
...Now I cant get this shit out of my HEAD!
As I watched this video, 15 times a day, it hit me one day I thought "I wonder what Antoine Dodson is getting about this? He must think he is the shit right about now."
I was right. Antoine now has a Youtube channel giving updates on whether they have found the intruder.
http://www.youtube.com/user/antoinedodson24?blend=2&ob=1
Since the video and songs release, Antoine has developed himself into a bit of a celebrity.

So whats my point with all of this? NOTHING! I just wanted to share how ANYONE can have their 15 minutes of fame from unlikely situations.
So Weird!

First Blog Post Ever!
Hello everyone. This is my first blog post and I think I like it. I would start off by telling you a bit about myself, but that would be a waste of time. I will however, tell you about what you will be expecting. On my facebook page I like to post videos and share them with my friends and make commentary. Sometimes I do stupid things like shave a little too much hair off the back of my neck and post pictures of it on my page. So Videos and Stupid pictures of things I didn't think through will be the main focus. Also, I love to share music videos which is what I will be doing as well.
I hope everyone enjoys!
